Suggested Training

CTANW recommends training in the following areas for nonprofit, for-profit or community transportation operators/drivers providing transportation services to passengers defined by RCW 81.66.010 (3):
 

  • Accident & Incident Reporting
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Confidentiality & Documentation
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Customer Service (including at minimum: working with aging adults, people with lower income, people with disabilities and people with a mental health diagnosis)
  • Defensive Driving Techniques
  • Drug & Alcohol Abuse Awareness
  • Mandatory Reporting
  • Vehicle Evacuation (including Fire Suppression, and Client-First Evacuation Methods)
  • Wheelchair & Mobility Device Securement
