Homelessness & Poverty
This interactive training is designed to increase awareness about issues facing passengers living in homelessness or poverty, and provides agencies with tips and tools related to customer service, service coordination and related policies. This presentation is designed for both individual and group learning environments for all areas of community and specialized transportation services, including planning, drivers, mobility management/travel training professionals, managers, customer service providers and more.

Course Learning Objectives:

1) Understand myths and misconceptions about people who are living in homelessness or poverty in order to provide better customer service; 

2) Understand the role of community and specialized transportation services as part of the safety net and in service coordination;

3) Identify important policy areas for agencies when working with this population.
