Marianna Hanefeld is one of two tribal liaisons for the Washington State DOT Public Transportation Division serving the 29 federally recognized tribes in the state. She also manages the Rural Transit Assistance Program (RTAP). Marianna was formerly Executive Director and Mobility Manager for the Snohomish County Transportation Coalition (Snotrac) where she became energized working for transportation equity and accessibility. She has worked extensively in community advocacy and development and served on numerous nonprofit boards and advisory committees locally and statewide.
Her passion is to build and sustain collaborative, imaginative solutions to big problems and make friends along the way.
A proud Washington native, Marianna was raised in the suburbs of Seattle, and now lives in Kirkland with her husband and the queen cat, Miss Lily. She enjoys her family, her 3 grand girls, meeting new people, great food, reading and travel in the great Pacific NW and beyond.
