PASS, or Passenger Safety and Sensitivity, training is recongized throughout the United States as one of the premier trainings designed to provide drivers with the information they need to safely and effectively provide transportation services to passengers with speicalizd transportation needs. This training covers a wide range of CTANW recommended training standards, including:

PASS is available to drivers directly online at, where drivers can receive initial and re-certification for $25.00 (with CTAA or CTANW membership). Drivers can receive the hands-on training from participating CTANW members.  

In addition, CTANW hosts an annual in-person PASS Train the Trainer & Trainer Recertification event each February. This training allows your own team members provide PASS Certification to drivers in-house. Trainers seeking recertification only need to attend the 3rd day. 

Upcoming CTANW PASS Train the Trainer Course:
February 20-22, 2019

This PASS Train the Trainer course will be held in Olympia, WA from Wednesday, February 20th through Friday, February 22nd. Those seeking trainer recertication attend on Friday, February 22nd only. To register, please click here. An update with final registration details will be provided to those registered by February 15th. Those who receive this training will be certified to provide in-person, hands-on, classroom training to drivers.
